What is Airlinefriends.net?

Airlinefriends.net is a tool used to find friends in and around the Airline Industry‚ all over the world! To start making connections‚ search a city or date on the "World Map" to find out who is going to be near you.

I forgot my password and can’t login!

Navigate to the lost password page and enter the email address you signed up with. We will then send you an email containing your password. If you’ve completed this step and your password still hasn’t made it to your inbox‚ be sure to check your spam folder‚ or click here to have the email resent.

What is "myPassport"?

myPassport is YOUR passport to Airlinefriends.net! Having one allows you to access many of the member only features on the site. On your passport you can fill out a profile‚ upload pictures‚ write blogs‚ and connect with your friends!

How do I edit my passport information?

To edit your passport you must first be logged in to your account. Once logged in‚ look to the top right corner of the screen to find the "Edit Passport" link. Remember‚ your complete profile is searchable! To make it as easy as possible to be found‚ be sure to include complete and accurate information.

How do I change my passport picture?

Under "Edit Passport" click "Picture" and proceed to upload a new passport photo!

How can I change the way my passport looks?

Under "Edit Passport" click "Skins". Skins are the different themes you can choose for your passport! You can change your skin as much as you’d like‚ so pick one that fits the weather!

How can I change my password?

Under "Edit Passport" click "Password" and proceed to change your password. If you ever forget your password‚ you can always recover it by using our password recovery system.

How do I change my email address?

Under "Edit Passport" click "Email" and proceed to change your email. Remember that your email is how you log in and must be unique to each user on the site‚ so make sure you don’t use a fake one!

How do I manage my Calendar?

You must first start off by logging in to your account. Once logged in you’ll notice a navigation section appears to the top right section of the screen. These newly placed links contain the "Calendar" link; click this link and you’re faced with the current year at a glance.

If you’re looking to add a new calendar event‚ click the "Add Entry" link located above the monthly calendars‚ complete all the text fields and save your entry.

If/When the time comes to edit your calendar entry; this can be achieved by simple navigating to your main profile/myPassport page and clicking on the date within the current calendar that’s displayed. You can also edit calendar entries from past/future months by clicking the "Calendar" link on the navigation bar located on the top right of your screen (when your logged in). Making your changes is as easy as typing them in and hitting the "Save Changes" button. Delete entries by hitting the "Delete" button. Please be aware once your delete your entry; it can no longer be retrieved.

How do I upload my Schedule?

You have 2 options to enter your schedule in your calendar. If you have Sabre Crewtrac you can copy and paste it in. Go to crewtrac, on the left click "schedule detail", enter the month of choice and submit. Highlight and copy your entire schedule from top to bottom including the header at the top. It needs that to know what month it is.( eg. 0208 is Feb 2008.)

Now go to airlinefriends.net, click calendar on the right, click add schedule on upper left then paste in your schedule . Before you save it you have the option to set the month for everyone or friends only or friends with a luggage key only. Now click save. Go back to your calendar and see if it worked. Click on the colored days to see the entries. Now you can edit each individual entry or delete entries as you want.

Method 2 is to click add entry instead of add schedule. To add an entry set the date or range of dates you want then just fill in each window as you go down. For now you must enter something in the entry box which will give you an edit prompt later if you want to edit your entry.

How do I manage my Blog?

You must first start off by logging in to your account. Once logged in you’ll notice a navigation section appears to the top right section of the screen. These newly placed links contain the "Blog" link‚ click this link and your faced with the current blog postings (if any have been entered).

If your looking to add a new blog entry be sure to click the "New Entry" link located at the top of the main content area. Give your blog posting a title and complete the entry form. The privacy feature is put in place so you can limit access to certain blog postings‚ just select whether you want the blog post to be visable to everyone or just the people on your friends list. Hit the save button and your new blog posting has been added.

If your looking to edit a blog post‚ simply click the post title or click the small round radio button to the left of the title then click "Edit". You can now edit the blog posting.

If your looking to delete a blog post‚ simply click the small round radio button next to the title and hit the "Delete" button. Please be aware that all deleted blog entries will be gone forever‚ we cannot retrieve any deleted entries.

How do I manage my Photos?

You must first start off by logging in to your account. Once logged in you’ll notice a navigation section appears to the top right section of the screen. These newly placed links contain the "Photos" link; click this link and you’re faced with your current photo galleries (if any have been created).

To create a new photo gallery you must click the "New Gallery" link. You can now create a new photo gallery‚ please note you will not be able to upload photos until you create a new gallery. Once the gallery has been saved‚ you will be faced with the file upload screen. Here you can select the photo you wish to upload‚ select the privacy permissions‚ and write–up a description about your photo.

To delete your photos you have two different options.
First you can delete the whole photo gallery. To do this navigate to the "Photos" page and hit the "Delete" button next to the photo gallery you want removed. This will delete both the gallery and the images contained within the gallery.

-OR-

Select the "Edit" button next to the gallery that contains the photos you want deleted. Now you will be faced with a screen that contains the gallery title and description‚ along with all the images that have been uploaded into that gallery. Click the checkbox to the left of the photo(s) you want to remove‚ then simply hit the "Save" button. Please note‚ once you delete a file it is gone for good‚ there is no way for airlinefriends.net to retrieve a deleted photo.

How do I change my Privacy Settings?

As you add entries in your passport, calendar dates or photos or blog entries, you can set them to everyone or friends only or friends with a luggage key. You can also hide your entire calendar, all of your photo albums, all the blog entries and friends list by clicking edit passport on the top right and then click privacy and you will see the options.

Important: If you set the calendar to friends only or friends with a luggage key it will hide your calendar on your passport page but your location will still show up on the world map unless you set the entry to friends only or friends with a luggage key when you entered it in your calendar.

How do I find people with rooms for rent or people looking for a roommates?

If your here looking to find people with rooms for rent‚ look no further. Airlinefriends.net has made it easier than ever to find people renting out spare rooms. Simply navigate to the "Search" page and look at the filters menu on the right side of the member profile list‚ under the "Filters" heading you will notice a section that says: "People who are here for:" under that title you will then see a list of options and checkbox’s‚ simply click the checkbox for "looking for a roommate" or "looking for a room" and hit the browse button. You will now be faced with all members looking for a roommate or to rent out their spare room‚ if required you can break these search results down even further by selecting any other options within the filters menu.

How do I post my room for rent?

If you’re looking to rent out your spare room‚ you must start by logging in to your account and navigating to the "Edit Passport" page. Once there‚ scroll down to the "visiting for" section and click the checkbox next to the "Have a room to rent" option. Complete this process by scrolling to the bottom of the page and hitting the "Save Profile" button.
